1

Go to app.denialbase.com/signup

Use your work email. Personal email domains get rate-limited during signup and don’t get invited to BAA-covered plans.
2

Pick a strong password

Minimum 12 characters. Must include upper, lower, digit, and special character. A password manager is strongly recommended.
3

Check your inbox

Verification email arrives within 30 seconds. Click the link to confirm ownership.

Enable 2FA

2FA is required for every account that will touch PHI. You won’t be able to open any denial until 2FA is enabled.

Passkey (recommended)

Your device or a hardware key. Phishing-resistant. Works with Touch ID, Face ID, Windows Hello, YubiKey, Titan.

TOTP

Authenticator app — Authy, 1Password, Bitwarden, Google Authenticator. Scan the QR code to set up.
Save your backup codes. They’re the only way back into your account if you lose your primary 2FA method. Store them in a password manager or printed somewhere safe — not in an email or on your desktop.

Complete the onboarding wizard

1

Name your practice

Legal name, DBA if different, specialty. You can add providers, locations, and payers later.
2

Confirm your role

Billing staff, practice admin, or provider. This sets sensible defaults for your experience. You can switch roles later if admin grants it.
3

Pick your first payer

Choose from our master list. This activates the first set of payer-specific appeal templates for you. Add more payers later under Settings → Practice → Payers.
4

Connect integrations (optional)

Skip for now if you want to explore first. You can set up EHR sync, scan-to-email, and SSO later.

You’re in

At this point you should see the Denialbase dashboard. Next:

Upload your first denial

Drag an EOB onto the upload zone and see the AI go to work.
